………another way to study fashion

Rowena Luke-King offers short professional courses, executive consultations and expert individual tuition in fashion, textiles and accessory design. She specialises in supporting students who are dyslexic, prepares would-be designers for interview and plans study programs for those looking for an alternative to university education.

People who study with Rowena benefit from her growing network of contacts, her in-depth knowledge of the workplace and her diverse range of experiences as both a freelance and studio designer. Many have gained places at their 'first choice' university, gone on to work in fashion, textiles or accessory design, set up their own businesses and in some cases have become employers themselves.

"I was still at school studying 'A' Level Art when I decided to apply for a degree in fashion without doing an art foundation course first. With Rowena's help I put together a more fashion focussed portfolio than the one that I was working on at school and gained a place to study BA Fashion at Northumbria University; my first choice. As well as having a cracking sense of humour Rowena is an encyclopaedia of knowledge and experience. She knew exactly what the Universities were looking for and I would recommend her to anyone who wants a career in fashion. In my opinion, I doubt that you will find a better tutor". Hannah Harrison; Senior Accessories Designer, Orla Kiely.
